Message:<\/td>\n This training is open to individuals working in the field of early childhood education! \nPlease note that you must be able to commit to the entire day of training. \nMental Health First Aid Training\nPart of a National Initiative to Increase Mental Health Literacy\nFriday, May 13, 2022\n9am \u2013 4pm. \nThis is an in-person event on our mask-flexible Haverhill campus. \nFacilitated by Kathleen Bartolini\nMental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course that teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Just as CPR helps those without clinical training to assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid is included in SAMHSA\u2019s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices. There are now more than 1 million people in the US certified as Mental Health First Aiders.\nCourse materials and certification provided.
